What's new....

Not much - but oh well I'll try......

Parker went to a Tennis Camp today with cousin Willie for boys playing high school tennis. They came out excited - they go back tomorrow for another 6 hours...tryouts are next week!

Meranda finally met with her Bishop (he has been out of town) and got her letter of acceptance for her mission call signed and sent off to church headquarters!

Preston and Katie are busy with work & school- Preston is on a History overload - trying to fulfill most of his minor requirements. He has two classes from some weird french guy that drives him nuts. Katie is looking forward to going to So Cal at the end of the month for a cheerleader competition with the HHS cheerleaders.

Evan has had some time at the high school softball field - he will help with the field as long as Wes Heymond is involved! He's also been home for the last few weekends - which has been awesome!

Me - I was just thinking a couple of weeks ago how I hadn't had even a cold this winter season....well....I shouldn't have thought about it because I have the start of a cold - head congestion - sore throat and ears - losing my voice!

So there you go.....nothing too exciting!!!!!!

I Dont' Get It.....

How do you teach a math class without a text book?
How do you complete a "worksheet" without anything to refer to?
How do you help your son with his homework without a resource?

Don't ask me - I can't seem to figure it out and I'm a "numbers geek"........

I've googled, I've tried to figure it using common sense, but I can't explain it to him and I'm not really sure what the teacher is looking for when they ask for an explicit OR recursive formula......

About the only thing I've learned is that I do know how to spell FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!

WOW

What a crazy Wednesday - started early in the morning and ended late at night - which is normal for me - however - big events this day!!!!

Region Swim Meet - Parker finished the swim season strong and blonde! The 5:15 a.m. practices are now a distant memory (whew)! Saturday mornings are once again wide open! The chlorine smell will gradually disappear (his sheets and farts both smelled like chlorine the past 5 months). He only whined a couple of times and made some great friends. That's one thing about the swim team, you do have a good support system. It is not a glory sport and takes a ton of self motivation and dedication. But it is a great sport that builds muscle, confidence and a workout that you can do your entire life!!!!

NEXT......the papers were supposed to come for Sister Wood! We got home from the swim meet - checked the mail box - THERE IT WAS!!! Bluegrass was playing on the radio and Evan thought - Tennessee! I got a wierd feeling in my stomach - hoping NOT Africa! Texted MK, PJW and PSW the news. Meranda had work (softball practice) from 4:00 - 7:00 - hoped to be able to leave early - didn't work out. She left Logan at 7:15 - arrived in WVC at 8:45 - opened the envelope at 8:47! She was so overwhelmed - excited - that she had a hard time reading the letter - but did get out "PARAGUAY"! Wow.....what a surprise. We had all made our guesses - none of which was Paraguay. Meranda is so excited. She already has a great "Mexican" accent!

She can't wait to serve the Lord. She starts traveling next week with the softball team. The semester should fly by and she will graduate in May from USU. Then we can start the shopping!

Life never gets boring at our house!
