Vote early to avoid long lines - WHATEVER.....

So all of the registered voters in our home (except for Preston) have voted early!!

Evan went Wednesday night - walked right in and was through in a very short time.

On the flipside - me and Meranda went Thursday at 5:30 - and waited in a very long line.....a total of 35 minutes - seemed like a lot more - maybe because we had "touchy/feeling/kissy/backscratching" couple in front of us - UGH!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PARKER!!!

Today is Parker's birthday - he is 12 years old!!

He was born October 23, 1996 at 7:00 a.m. He was 8 lbs 13 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. He had dark auburn hair and was actually born about 2 weeks early!!

I am so glad he is a part of our family. He was a wonderful surprise and blessing!
He has a loud - but contagious - laugh.
He likes pasta, drawing houses, Miley Cyrus, the Beach Boys, movies, swimming, the Utah Jazz, playing Wii, his Ipod, baseball and fastpitch softball......
He will probably be mad at me for posting this picture - but it makes me laugh.....

Parker - I love you - you're an awesome young man!!!!

Things I have done.....

Taking a "cue" from Annie - who blogged about things she has ever done - I decided to list things I have done.....

I have voted Republican and Democrat just to get the incumbent out.....
I have taken my kids "toilet papering"....
I have gone four days without showering (and not just at girls camp)....
I have forked ice cream straight from the carton.....
I have been to Europe twice.....
I have picked up a hitchhiker.....
I have laughed out loud reading cards in the grocery store....
I have eaten chicken livers (soaked in butter).....
I have owned a bright red convertible sports car...
I have owned a mini-van....
I have screamed my lungs out at sporting events....
I have fainted....
I have embarrassed my kids....
I have gotten a ticket for jay walking.....
I have bought a $250 blouse at Nordstrom....
I have bought clothes at Walmart....
I have given Preston a permanent (twice)....
I have been a contestant in a "beauty pageant"....
I have been on television (romper room, sterling scholars and the news)....
I have given birth three times....

Nothing special - just things that make me crazy.....

So - I really don't have anything special to blog about - but I do have some things that make me crazy.....

Political season - makes me crazy. Politicians make me crazy. John McCain is old and acts like a dirty old man. Obama looks presidential but I really don't want to vote for him - I don't like the idea of national health care and spending more of my hard earned money to help those that can't or don't want to help themselves.

Financial crises - makes me crazy. A lot of corruption and greed. My 401K account is going in the toilet - luckily I'm not 65 - I'm actually glad I'm only 51 and still many years from retirement.

The media - makes me crazy. You would think millions of people are losing their jobs, their homes, their families. Come on - I'm okay - aren't you?

Home Foreclosures - makes me crazy. Just because someone says you can afford a $500,000 home - doesn't make it so. Look at your paycheck. What house payment can you afford? Do you really think your wages are going to go up enough in three years that you'll be able to afford the payment when you actually have to start paying on the principal?

Government Bailouts - makes me crazy. If I had a business and made bad decisions - would they throw $700 billion my way?

Executive Salaries - makes me crazy. GREED - it's everywhere - even in a small law firm in SLC.

I guess I kind of feel like George.......
