Parker started his last year at Hunter Jr. High. I've told him if he can survive junior high, he can survive anything! He should have a great year! Parker does really well in all of his classes until he gets bored! Hopefully he can hang in there and get the grades that he is capable of!
That being said, as we were going through his class disclosures last night, we made a list of the "supplies" that are required for each of his classes. The push to buy school supplies before schools starts does not apply to junior high. You think you can guess what they need, but each teacher has specific things they require for the class. I guess it's necessary for the "mandatory supply list". By the time you get to high school, the teachers figure if you don't know to bring paper/pencil/pen that's your problem!
As I read and signed the disclosures, the most interesting thing was from Concert Band. The class rules included the statement "No Disruptive Hair"! What does that mean?

Disruptive hair is just terrible . . . especially the smelly kind.
Disruptive hair is the kind all the kids stare at and lose their concentration.
